Word Alive Press’s alliance with Ingram means your book will be made available, on-demand, to 25,000 stores and libraries. Word Alive Press books are in the same distribution channels used by the large, traditional publishers. This unique benefit gives you the opportunity to sell books through stores like Barnes & Noble, Chapters, Waldenbooks, and others. In addition, we have a team of customer service agents standing by to take orders for your book and provide quality care for customers. Our distribution team, which picks, packs and ships over 50,000 packages per year, will be working for you. Our customer service team will invoice clients for the sales of your title, and our accounting department will collect payments and pay you in a timely fashion. Word Alive will update Christian bookstores with the data on your book so that searches of your title will automatically be associated to a professional distributor. This makes it easy for a store to order your book! We will include your book on our website for sales and search-ability. As a Canadian distributor, Word Alive has been a leading force in the professional distribution of quality resources in Canada for over twenty years.
Will my book be listed with Amazon.com?
Yes. Word Alive Press has teamed-up with Amazon.com so that hundreds of millions of readers can view and read about your book.
What’s an eBook?
An eBook is a book in an electronic format that you can download to your computer, laptop, or portable eBook device. An eBook is portable, convenient, easy to use, and fun! eBooks are available for purchase and are downloaded on Amazon.com and other web sites.
How many books must the author purchase?
An author must purchase only 100 books on the initial print run. After that, we don’t obligate authors to purchase any more books. You order only what you need when you need it. (Any shipping costs will be added at the time of ordering).
How do my royalties work?
We pay you a royalty for each copy that is sold to bookstores, libraries, or on the web, just as would a traditional publisher. Better yet, we pass more profits on to our authors by paying royalty rates of up to 20%! A royalty is like a commission, and it’s paid off of the wholesale price, not the retail price. The rate at which you’re paid depends on which publishing package you choose.
Will my book have an ISBN?
Yes, your book will be assigned the International Standard Book Number required by book sales channels to track and order your books. In addition, Word Alive Press will place a machine-readable Bookland/EAN barcode on your book’s cover. Without this, bookstores cannot order copies of your book.
Who owns the copyright to my book?
You do. When you wrote your book, you automatically asserted copyright ownership.
Do you guarantee your services?
Yes. If you are not satisfied with your book, we will refund your submission fee with no questions asked. Just let us know, in writing, within 10 days after you receive your book(s). You’ll receive your refund within 30 working days.
